Create an announcement bar to promote a page for your Loyalty and Referral programs in your store. If you haven't created one yet, please visit our guide here.

Add an announcement bar

Edit a theme in your library to create an announcement bar and highlight your Dedicated Page.

1. From the Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes
2. Click Customize to open the theme editor
3. In Header, click Add section > Announcement bar
4. Click the announcement to edit the details
5. In the Text field, enter your announcement text
6. In the Link field, paste the URL of your Dedicated Page. You can also search for the page by clicking Pages in the dropdown menu
7. Click Save.

Edit your announcement bar

Style your announcement banner or set an animation to have your announcements automatically rotate.

1. From the Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes
2. Click Customize to open the theme editor
3. In Header, click Announcement bar
4. In Color scheme, choose the background and text color for your announcement
5. In Announcements, enable the auto-rotation and the time
6. Optional: Add a language selector, a country or region selector, and social media icons to your announcement bar
7. Click Save.

Common questions

How can I add multiple announcements?

Click Announcement bar to expand the menu and click Add Announcement.

Can I create more than one Dedicated Page?

No. Any changes made to your Page on BrandLift > Onsite > Dedicated Page will sync to the Shopify pages where you have selected brandlift-loyalty as the template and/or sections where you have embedded the HTML code of the Page.

How can I use different texts in the announcement bar?

You can add up to 5 announcements in your announcement bar. The bar will appear across all your pages and the announcements will rotate. See our instructions to add announcements here.
