BrandLift and Sendlane integration explained

Effortlessly connect with Sendlane to establish varied customer groups using Loyalty characteristics, then leverage their advanced features for precisely targeted email and SMS communications.

Use cases

How to connect BrandLift with Sendlane

  1. From the BrandLift Dashboard, go to Integrations
  2. Find Sendlane in the Email & SMS Marketing section
  3. Click Configure
  4. Enter your Sendlane API token (Where to find my API Token?)
  5. Click Save to display your lists
  6. Under List/Audience ID, select one list from the menu and click Save

Where to find my API Token?

  1. From your Sendlane Dashboard, go to Account > API
  2. Under Sendlane API V2, click the button + API Token
  3. Input a name for your token in the pop-up (e.g. BrandLift) and click Create
  4. Make sure to click Copy API Token and paste it into BrandLift

Viewing Loyalty data on a Contact profile page

Discover the distinct BrandLift attributes of each Contact by examining custom fields within their individual profile page.

  1. From your Sendlane Dashboard, go to Audience
  2. Click the Contacts tab
  3. Search for an email address and click the > button in the View column
  4. Click the View more button in the Contact sidebar
  5. Scroll down to Personalization to see the BrandLift properties added to the Contact profile as custom fields.

Using BrandLift properties in Segments

Employ segments to categorize Contacts or provide tailored content driven by Loyalty information.

  1. From your Sendlane Dashboard, go to Audience
  2. In the Segments tab, click the + Segment button
  3. Input the name for the segment and click Confirm
  4. Click the preselected filter to display all the Conditions and select Custom Fields > Custom Fields
  5. Select the preferred BrandLift property to set the rule (e.g. BrandLift Points Balance greater than 100)
  6. Add as many Conditions as you wish and click Save.

Using BrandLift properties in Automations

Utilize Automations to dispatch customized email and SMS messages to your Contacts, all adapted to their actions and inclinations.

Triggers

When a Custom Field is filled or modified in a Contact's profile through our integration, the Contact will be directed through your Automation.

  1. From your Sendlane Dashboard, go to Automations
  2. Click the New Automation button
  3. Select Start from Scratch in the slideout menu
  4. Input the name of your Automation and click Start
  5. Click +Add trigger and select Custom Field Added in the slideout menu
  6. Set your preferred Limit Per Contact
  7. Choose at least one BrandLift property from your list of Custom Fields
  8. Click Done
  9. Once you have set your preferred Actions, Logic, and Timing, click Activate.

Conditional Splits

The Conditional Split feature enables you to create dual pathways for your Contacts within an Automation based on specific criteria.

  1. From your Sendlane Dashboard, go to Automations
  2. Click the New Automation button
  3. Select a template in the slideout menu - or create one from scratch
  4. Click the + button and select Conditional Split in the slideout menu
  5. Click the preselected filter to display all the Conditions and select Custom Fields
  6. Select the preferred BrandLift property in the dropdown menu to set the rule (e.g. BrandLift Points Balance greater than 100)
  7. Add as many Conditions as you wish and click Done.

Using BrandLift properties in email and SMS messages

Personalization Tags can insert a Contact's Loyalty data into email or SMS content distributed via an Automation or Campaign.

  1. Open the email or SMS message editor
  2. Add or edit the text element
  3. Click the tag icon. If you are editing email content, click the ... button first
  4. Select the BrandLift property.

Go to Integrations > Sendlane and click the Remove Integration button on the top right page.
