How the extension works

For guest checkouts, the extension showcases a logged-out view, encouraging customers to sign in or establish a store account to join your Loyalty program.

When customers log into their accounts during browsing or at checkout, the extension reveals their unique referral link, ready to be copied and shared with their network."

How to add the extension

1. From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Checkout
2. In the Customize your checkout section, click Customize next to the checkout that you want to edit
3. At the top bar menu bar, select the Thank you page
4. On the left side menu, click Add app block
5. Select BrandLift Loyalty & Referrals' Refer Friends Extension
6. Click Save.

Known limitations

• The extension can only be added to the Thank You page
• Currently, copy buttons for the referral link are not supported.

Translation

1. From the BrandLift Dashboard, go to Branding > Translation
2. Search for Checkout UI Refer Friends within the page
3. Edit the text
4. Save changes.

Common questions

Can I change the position of the extension on the Thank You page?

No. The checkout extension will be added before the confirmation status.
