Create the Way to Earn in BrandLift

  1. From your Loyalty dashboard, go to Loyalty > Points.
  2. Select Add Another Way to Earn > Custom Action.
  3. Select Junip from the dropdown.
  4. Enter the Action Name. Example: "Post a Product Review".
  5. Enter the Completed Action Name. Example: "Posted a Product Review".
  6. Enter the Description. Example: "Earn {{points_amount}} for posting a review".
  7. Optional: Add a URL for members to click.
  8. Optional: Implement a cap on the number of times each customer can receive points for submitting a review.
  9. Click Save and make sure the status is set to On.

Activate Shopify Flow in Junip

Follow the steps in this guide from Junip on activating Shopify Flow within their application.

Create the Workflow in Shopify Flow

After completing the brief steps outlined above to establish your new Earning Method, it's necessary to set up the automation in Shopify Flow that will notify our application when a customer submits a review through Junip.

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Apps > Shopify Flow and click Create Workflow.
  2. Click Select a trigger and select Junip - Review Submitted from Junip's available triggers.
  3. Next, click Then > Action and select Add Points for a Custom Action from BrandLift's available actions.
  4. In the Customer Identifier field, use the variable {{customer.email}}
  5. For the Custom Action Name field, input the exact title you specified in BrandLift. For instance, in this case, you would type 'Post a Product Review.'
  6. Optional steps:
    1. Specify a Points Amount Override: This value will take precedence over the amount you've configured in BrandLift.
    2. Select the Skip Email option: Enabling this ensures customers won't receive a notification email about their points, even if you've activated the 'Points Earned' email alert in BrandLift.
  7. Click Turn on workflow.

Common Questions

Will the app award points to all my customers?

BrandLift typically awards Loyalty points exclusively to Members. However, you have the option to modify the Points program eligibility in your settings. For more details, please refer to the 'Change Points program participants' guide.
