Introduction

Let me walk you through the Referrals Program to give you a clearer picture of how it functions for both the Advocate and the Referred Friend.

Before you begin

Before launching, it's advisable to test the referrals program using two separate email addresses.

• A member's email address - This is the Advocate
• An email address that does not belong to an account on your store - This is the Referred Friend.

Referrals Program on the Advocate's end

Each program participant receives a unique referral link. The advocate can share this link in several ways:

• They can copy the referral link from the Widget and send it directly to friends or family via private message.
• The Widget offers buttons for Facebook, Twitter, and WhatsApp, allowing the advocate to share the referral link on these social media platforms.
• By clicking the Email button in the Widget, the advocate can distribute the referral link through email.

The Advocate's Reward will remain in a Pending status until the Referred Friend completes a purchase.

Referrals Program on the Referred Friend's end

For Referred Friends, the process is straightforward: click on the received referral link, which will automatically redirect you to the website. There, you can either claim your reward immediately or create an account first before accessing the reward.

• If the Referrals Customer Account is disabled you will only need to enter your email address and then click the claim button to get the discount code.

• If the Referrals Customer Account is enabled, referred friends will need to create an account first before they can claim their rewards.

Important:It's important to note that customers should copy their discount codes to their clipboard if they don't plan to use them right away. This allows them to save the code for future use. Consider adding this tip as a note in the Widget.
