Introduction
Shopify Tagging is an automated system designed to simplify the process of organizing, monitoring, and overseeing your orders and clientele within your Shopify dashboard.
How it works
This functionality allows you to append customer labels, order identifiers, and supplementary information to your Shopify transactions.
Order Tags
Any order that includes a discount generated by BrandLift and any order generated through a referral will be tagged BrandLift.
Add BrandLift Note Attributes to Orders
Purchases resulting from a referral will contain extra information providing context about the referral, including the referrer's email address and the BrandLift referral link.
Customer Referral Tags
New customers acquired via referral will be tagged BrandLift Referral.
Customer Advocate Tags
Customers who opted in as referral advocates will be tagged BrandLift Advocate.
How to enable Shopify Tagging
- Go to Settings
- Click Shopify Tagging
- Select the preferred options for automatically tagging and adding note attributes
- Click Save.
Common questions
If I enable this feature, will it backfill all orders previously made?
No. This feature will only apply to new orders moving forward. If you wish to update past orders, please reach out to our support team, and we can assist you with this process.
