Introduction
Elevate your Loyalty program by granting points to members who visit specific web addresses. This powerful tool incentivizes customers to explore designated pages, whether on your site or elsewhere, boosting engagement and driving desired actions.
Setting up the 'Visit a URL' Way to Earn
- From the BrandLift Dashboard, go to Loyalty > Points
- Click Add Another Way to Earn under the Earning Points section
- Choose Visit a URL in the Ways to Earn prompt
- Fill in all the fields on the page
- Optional: Use the default icon or upload a custom icon for your custom action for a more personalized look
- Make sure that the Status is
ON - Click Save
- Repeat the same steps when creating more Visit a URL ways to earn points.
Required fields
URL
Enter the destination URL for customers when they interact with the button. This can be any web address, including links outside your Shopify store.
📝 Note: The URL must begin with http:// or https://
Button Text
Specify the text displayed on the button for members to click. Popular options include 'Visit', 'Click Here', 'Earn Now', or 'Get Points'.
Action Name
Define the action name shown in the Ways to Earn section of on-site displays like the Floating Widget and Dedicated Page. This describes what customers need to do to earn points, written in present tense (e.g., 'Follow us on Instagram').
Completed Action Name
Provide the completed action description for the Points History section of on-site displays. This lists finished tasks and their point values, written in past tense (e.g., 'Followed us on Instagram').
Action Description
Craft a brief explanation to appear beneath the action name in your on-site displays. This should summarize the task and the potential points earned.
Points amount
Indicate the number of points customers will receive upon completing the specified action.
