Introduction

Reward your members with points when they join your Loyalty program, creating an enticing initial experience. Implement this earning method to enhance your customer acquisition approach and foster brand allegiance from the moment they sign up.

How it works

This Way to Earn points is intended for stores that use the classic customer account version in their store. Upon a customer's visit to the e-commerce platform and subsequent account creation, this rule activates. The new user's point balance is credited with the sign-up bonus, and their Loyalty Status within BrandLift is updated to reflect their membership.

Setting up the 'Sign up' Way to Earn

  1. Go to Loyalty > Points
  2. Find the Sign up Way to Earn under the Earning Points section

3. Click Edit

4. In Earning Value, enter the points customers will earn when they enable a classic customer account

5. Optional: Use the default icon or upload a custom icon for your custom action for a more personalized look

6. Make sure that the Status is ON.

7. Click Save.

Translating the text

To edit the text for the 'Sign up' earning rule, please follow the instructions below.

  1. Go to Branding > Translation
  2. Click the Points tab
  3. Find the General sign up field and enter the text in the present tense
  4. Find the General signed up field and enter the text in the past tense
  5. Click Save.

Rewarding prior sign-ups

Use our Reward Past Actions feature to award customers with points for prior sign-ups before the app installation.

  1. Go to Settings > Reward Past Actions
  2. Click the Reward Past Actions button
  3. Confirm the action by clicking Continue.

Common questions

Can I delete the 'Sign up' Way to Earn?

No, but you can turn the rule off. This will prevent new customers from earning points after they enable the account.
