Excluding products and points delay

Introduction

There may be instances where you want to prevent certain products from being eligible for your Loyalty program rewards. By simply entering the product ID, you can fine-tune your program's parameters effortlessly!

How to exclude products from the Points program

This functionality allows you to omit particular items from point accrual within the 'Place an order' earning method.

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Click Orders
  3. Scroll down to Order Exclusions
  4. Enter the ID of the products. Separate them with a comma (e.g. 1111111,2222222)
  5. Click Save.

Where to find my product ID number?

  1. In your Shopify admin, go to Products
  2. From your list of products, click on the item you want to exclude
  3. Copy the number string at the end of the URL after

Points Delay

It's possible to introduce a time gap between when an order is placed and when points are awarded. For a one-hour delay, input 3600 seconds. To set a 24-hour delay, use 86400 seconds, and for a week-long delay, enter 604800 seconds.

Common questions

Can I exclude collections?

At present, our system only supports product-level exclusions. If you wish to exclude multiple items from a collection, you'll need to input each product's ID individually, separating them with commas.

Can I use a Shopify tag to exclude my products?

As of now, BrandLift only recognizes product ID numbers that are entered into the Order Exclusions field.
